Colors of Delhi

Delhi is a multi cultured city with people from almost every part of India. People of Delhi are called as “Delhi-ites”. In Delhi you will find people from different cast and culture living with peace and harmony. This shows the Unity in Diversity among the people of Delhi. During the festival season the Diversity in Cultural of Delhi can be well seen, where people from different cultural come together for a common cause. All the festival such as Holi, Diwali, ID are being celebrated with joy and brotherhood; this is the only reason why people usually call Delhi as “Delwalon ki Delhi” and there is no doubt that the people of Delhi are very open hearted, lively and they know how to enjoy life.

Delhi is the capital of India and is the perfect amalgamation of past and present. The history says – it is the city founded by the pandavas in the 1200 BC. It is the prime witness of rise and fall of many royal dynasties. Planned by the British architects in the 20th century, the capital is now one of the metropolis of India. It is basically divided into two parts – the new and the old Delhi. Delhi is definitely a vibrant, throbbing, stinkingly loud and colorful city. The prime attractions of Delhi include Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Humayan's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Jantar Mantar, and many more.

Apart from all the good things about Delhi, their is different side of Delhi as well, from the past few years Delhi has become over populated and an extremely polluted. The population is increasing day by day and the fight of livelihood is getting tougher. Crime rate is also increasing and it put a bad mark on Delhi reputation. Now a days, their is only few city residents call them a “Delhi Walla” as the majority of population hails from various other parts of India such as Punjab, Utter Pardesh, Kolkata, Haryana, Uttaranchal.
